Bigger and better smartphones, a potential game-changing wearable and a sequel to one of the best tablets yet. That's what seems to be on tap for Apple's big Sept. 9 event.
But that's not all we expect from Tim Cook & Co. Here's a rundown of all of the latest rumors for you to digest heading into what is shaping up to be a huge day in Cupertino, California.
IPhone 6 Crazy Thin In New Leaked Photos
Sick of all the leaks and speculation? Don't worry, Tom's Guide and Tom's Hardware will be at Apple's event to bring you highlights, analysis and hands-on goodness.
iPhone 6
The worst kept smartphone secrets will soon see the light of day. The iPhone 6 is expected to come in two sizes -- 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches -- both a sizable increase from today's puny 4 inches. The display could be made of super-strong sapphire crystal, which we've seen shrug off scratches and even a knife stabbing in leaked videos.
The iPhone 6 is also expected to pack a faster new A8 processor running at 2 GHz. That would be quite a speed bump from the current 1.3-GHz A7 chip in the iPhone 5s. An NFC chip will apparently allow the iPhone 6 to make mobile payments and easily pair with the iWatch. Also expect a more enhanced camera, possibly with 10-MP resolution. The ability to swap lenses could also be in the cards.
The latest report from AppleInsider has the bigger iPhone 6 taking full advantage of its 5.5-inch display by running dual-pane apps in landscape mode, similar to the way the iPad works. The above image of the purported 4.7-inch model comes by way of Chinese website cnBeta. MORE: iPhone 6 Rumor Roundup: Specs, Display, Camera and More
iWatch
Although it's not expected to go on sale until early 2015, the long-awaited iWatch should debut for the first time at Apple's Sept. 9 event. The latest rumors point to the device coming in multiple sizes with a curved sapphire glass screen. With a heavy emphasis on fitness, the iWatch should sport multiple onboard sensors to track everything from steps taken and calories to heart rate.
A recent New York Times report claims that Apple engineers have worked hard to ensure that the iWatch's health tracking is more accurate than competing fitness bands. The iWatch will reportedly feature its own app store and use its NFC chip to double as a digital wallet, allowing users to make payments with a tap of their wrist. (Agreements with AMEX, MasterCard and Visa are apparently already in place.)

The iWatch could also be used to help control everything from the lights to your thermostat, if it integrates with Apple's HomeKit protocol as expected. MORE: Best iPhone Apps You're Not Using
iPad Air 2
Here's a last-minute curveball. A report last week by AppleInsider claims that a sequel to the iPad Air may hit the stage Sept. 9. The device will supposedly pack the same fast A8 processor in the iPhone 6, as well as an anti-glare display. Other rumored features include a Touch ID sensor for security and a new gold color option.
